In recognition of National Parents’ Day, Team Select and The Unforgotten Families are sharing their love for parents and their commitment to their children across the nation – especially those filling the role of both caregiver and parent. So, what is National Parents’ Day?
National Parents’ Day is celebrated on the fourth Sunday in July every year and was created in 1994!

How are we celebrating parents?
A few years ago, Team Select created an advocacy campaign called The Unforgotten Families. The Unforgotten Families has a mission of being the voice, advocate, and champion of medically fragile children and their families to provide solutions that improve the overall quality of life in the home. With this, The Unforgotten Families advocates for the Family CNA Program to be readily available to families nationwide.
What is the Family CNA Program? The FCNA Program offers an alternative, cost-effective care model that provides a solution for struggling medically fragile families and their loved ones. This program allows parents and legal guardians of medically fragile children to become paid, certified caregivers for their medically fragile loved ones at no cost to them or the state.
Where is the Family CNA Program?
This impactful program is available to families in Arizona, California, Colorado, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, and Indiana.
It is important to note that the FCNA Program may have a different name within each state, depending on the state’s regulations. For example, the program is locally known as the Family Licensed Health Aide (LHA) Program in Arizona. In New Hampshire, the program is locally known as the Family Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) Program.
