The Family HHA Program, nationally referred to as the Family CNA Program, is now available for medically fragile families in Indiana.
Through the Family Home Health Aide Program, also know as the Family HHA Program, parents and legal guardians of medically fragile children can become a Home Health Aide for their loved ones.

What are the requirements for this HHA care program?
- Patient to have a chronic diagnosis, medically complex needs, or be in need of assistive care support in the home.
- Patient must be eligible to receive the service through qualifying insurance.
Family HHA Program staff qualifications
In order to qualify, one must:
- Complete the free Family Home Health Aide Program training provided by Team Select; or be listed in good standing on the Indiana Home Health Aide or CNA registry in lieu of training.
- Be able to provide or obtain TB test, drug screening, background check, and CPR certification (Team Select will help coordinate these requirements).
How many hours a week can someone be paid to care for their loved one?
The hours for the patient will depend on the patient specific situation and medical need but typically ranges between 16-40 hours per week.

If you are interested in becoming a trained caregiver for your loved one with the Family HHA Program in Indiana, please contact Team Select for an evaluation. Once qualified, Team Select will coordinate with the parent or legal guardian to become a certified, trained caregiver for their loved one. After certification, the parent or legal guardian can then onboard with Team Select as an HHA.
